so the writing conference was fun in some ways and painful and others and also very very ridiculous. I use that word too much. I met some cool (as in dorky-cool) new people and also got back in touch with rachel, who is awesome. I think i was one of the only waring kids who was talking to people that weren't from waring. On the one hand i feel ( Read more... )

What the school fails to recognize is that pot is actually illegal and techincally they are commiting a crime by not having police involvment.

Besides that, I could care less what kids do. I don't myself, but I'm not straight edge because I don't drink or do drugs. So yeah, I like Alex just the same as I did before. I don't know Gregor well. I don't judge them at all for what they do, or what anyone does.

That's my opinion.

hm...I've never really thought about that. I guess you're right. There's some truth in what you're saying- about apperance mattering.

I really wish Waring would take more of a stand sometimes. (this is a different topic, but...)With the whole food/environment/responsibility thing- I think the faculty are handling it completely wrong. They've already givin us countless reminders and second chances. We all know it's bad to leave food around. We all know we need to pick up after ourselves. But that doesn't mean we'll do it. It's been proven. So we really need some sort of rules. As it is now, it is not working. I don't know what specifically the rules should be- but we need some!

Ok, also, hunjae conversation is so priceless. I love it.

mm.. yea I get that. I think the faculty is resisting taking any sort of a stand because they identify making those kinds of rules and like.. having hall monitors with everything they don't want to be. We're supposed to be able to think. It would also just take a lot of the teachers' time and patience and the school's money to have something like the monitor system installed. I personally wish people would stop being idiots so they wouldn't have to treat us like children (even if they are).

was there ever that edenic waring where this kind of thing didn't happen? maybe it happens more as the population grows.
