ok. here's how it works. i write a first sentence of a story... then people comment with the next one, thus making a group effort, hopefully kinda maybe a little humorous, story.

wendy, the fire-breathing waitress, was awakened two hours early by a strange sound coming from the foot of her bed...any takers

Wendy, the fire-breathing waitress, was awakened two hours early by a strange sound coming from the foot of her bed.She sat up slowly, for it was quite early in the morning, and Wendy's senses never worked all at the right pace at 3 o'clock. She peered over edge of her bed and listened, realizing after a second that the sound was coming from the end of her bed not the left side by her bedside table. She slapped her glasses on, which made her eyes look not only bigger, but her entire personality was changed into "emo" mode.

It's more than a sentence, which carries the story nowhere, but I like things like that.
