Sometimes I catch myself overlooking "the burden men carry," partly because of my feminist upbringing that says - are you kidding? Men have historically had every advantage for thousands of years; they can't possibly have it as hard as women do. But there are times when I've been reminded how vulnerable and scared men are, especially when they are expected to be the strong ones, and how amazing they are for finding the strength to overcome their fears even when I've become a freakin' basket case. At that point, history is just...irrelevant.
