Please don't assume my depression is anything other than stress induced.  I'm getting really really tired of DC.  I just want to be "home" and back to a normal routine.  2 weeks from tomorrow I fly back.  I get the feeling they're going to be the longest 2 weeks of my life, if I keep this up.

Now now, don't go misquoting me ;) I said that getting a C in a graduate level nuclear engineering class THROUGH THE MAIL and saying you're not smart because you didn't get an A is like coming in 5th in a marathon.

As someone looking in from the other side, work ethic and drive are far more important than "intelligence". Intelligence doesn't get you shit, if you're lazy and don't put effort into anything.

Of course a carpenter is better at building a wood frame than you are. Its his JOB. Its NOT your job. If you did it all day every day, you would be fast too. Can a carpenter represent a nuclear facility? No/ Just because someone is better at something than you are, doesn't make you dumb.

I'm sorry you're sad. I'm glad I get to see you in a week! If you wouldn't have stayed so long it wouldn't have worked out.

I'm excited about seeing you, catching, having girl talk, and making fun of all the crazy animals at the zoo and the crazy things they do!

We all get down, various reasons pull us off the happy cloud and into the depths of the oceans. We're human. It's all about learning how to breathe underwater and resurfacing.

You're a strong woman and have so much going for you. You attended UMR. You've experienced Hokie Nation now. Everyone will be stronger.

I used to shy away from saying "Oh, I'm an engineer" like I was a 16 yo working at Target during high school. I used to say it nonchalantly like it was nothing. Then I realized it's something to be very proud of. I am an Engineer. It took 3 years -- 4 after college -- to get to this point. No I'm do damn proud I think people are annoyed by it. But I am an Engineer ( ... )
