All fun and games went out the window when Chris started praying. It was really something, to see a dork like him being so serious. Raenef sometimes wondered if Raised would care for a demon like him? He'd asked Chris a long while ago, but Chris at that time had still been dead-set on seeing his holy bolt embedded in his head.
But maybe now, it'd be different. Raenef waited until the cleric finished, and approached him, ignoring the particularly loud snoring from a nearby tree. "Hey, when can I try?" Maybe not the best way of asking.
Chris looked at him skeptically, "What?"
Raenef took a different approach, "What would happen if demons prayed for Raised?"
"Well.... Uh, I don't know. You could always try." Yeah, a very different response from last time. Chris was such a see-through character... not like Raenef could deny that about himself. Chris smirked confidently, "But I doubt you'd be able to memorize it. I took only one day memorizing these prayers. You might as well give up."
Raenef's cheeks puffed out in defiance, "Yes I can!"
"No you can't."
"Yes I can!" He pulled Chris to his feet and shook him. "Tell me! Tellmetellmetellmetellme--"
"Ok!" Chris shrugged off Raenef's hands and knelt down, motioning for Raenef to kneel down beside him. He recited some words, and they practiced for a while... even after Raenef fell asleep. Days went by and they were showing no particular progress, and Chris was surprised at himself for even having the patience.
The next morning was bright and clear, the perfect time for a prayer in his favorite spot. It seemed like things just wouldn't change.
Sauntering over to his favorite spot in the sun, he came to a sudden and quiet stop. At first, he thought his eyes were playing tricks on him, or maybe he was dreaming. But there in the warm embrace of the sun, Raenef was knelt and mumbling to himself. No, to Raised. It never came to his mind just how strange it seemed, but didn't interupt.
Vaguely he thought of how Eclipse would react if he saw this and grinned. Another victory for the cleric team....
Raenef finished rather quickly, and with a yawn, much to Chris's disapproval. He curled up in the grass and snuggled on the spot.
"How can you get tired from praying." asked Chris, moving over so that his body cast a shadow over the young demon lord.
"Because it's boring."
Chris face-faulted, feeling his anger bubbling up. "How dare you!?"
Raenef smiled and covered his face with his hand. "But it makes me feel a little clean. I don't know." They remained silent. It really was strange, a demon in prayer. But it didn't look horrible, it was only Raenef after all. Chris hardly considered him a demon.

Theme#14: whispers

A delusionary spell gone wrong, Raenef surrended himself in a mist around the field. Erutis, Chris and Eclipse couldn't escape the fumes, and he could hear Eclipse calling his name in shock. 'I must have put too much into it!' Raenef waved his hands to try and disband the mist, but that wouldn't work with magic. In truth, it was completely harmless, but still disorienting.
What if he walked into a tree? That would hurt...
Raenef didn't like getting hurt. Not even by trees. And in the absense of Eclipse, he was even more lost--not like he'd cry for help like he usually did...
Erutis's voice was screaming curses at Raenef to get rid of the spell, and he yelled back that he didn't know how. Soon, an arm found its way around his waste. "Eclipse!" Raenef clung to the figure pulling him out of the harmless sea of white and nearer to the open balcony.
Even when they were finally out of it, Raenef still hung on tight to the wonderful fabric with his eyes shut tight.
"Master Raenef..."
Eclipse's voice was soothing... but it seemed a little far away, almost like a whisper. How could that be... when...?
Chris huffed in a annoyance, his arm still draped around Raenef's small waist. "You know, you can stop squeezing me any time now."
Much to Eclipse's relief, Raenef jumped off him like Chris carried aids. Which wasn't contagious through contact, but simple Raenef wouldn't know that, now would he? "I! Chris! I didn't know you were like that?"
"What! You were on to me!" And so the two bickered while Eclipse swiftly dispelled the cloud of mist in the field. He would have to teach Raenef to use his powers in moderation...
Skipped 12 for a moment, because I hate doing part-2's~ ^^;
