Chris shifted uncomfortably from one foot to the next. As opposed to the bubbly, naive demon lord only 10 years back, this dark and gloomy atmosphere sent chills down his spine. He'd heard of Eclipse's death four days prior his visit, but he hadn't expected... no, he did exect Raenef to be this grieved. It was just disturbing to see it.
"...You know, if you need anything..." he started, but he didn't know how to finish. He was only inches away from his friend, but he felt like his friend was miles away from him.
Was it really that long ago that he'd seen that stupid face of his?
That stupid face that looked so longing for endless happiness, smiled in adoration at his beloved teacher, that expression that just made you want to cuddle him like a little bear.
If he could just see... just an inkling of a smile...

"Demons are doomed to be cast away by raised, isn't that obvious?" Chris boasted, rubbing a finger snuggly under his nose.
Raenef folded his arms, "Yeah, well you're dumb!"
Erutis rolled her eyes in her hamoc. It was the same deal every single day. It wasn't even like they were rivals or anything, more like they just did it for fun. And the more fun THEY had, the less sleep SHE got. And THAT was unforgiveable. "Why don't you two just hug and make up already? I'm tired!"
"From what?" Chris muttered under his breath. He glared at Raenef...
...who in turn glared back, "Ok! But just today. I'm not giving up."
The static just seemed to intensify when Eclipse entered the scene. "Master Raenef, your evening nap..."
Raenef turned his back pointly to the cleric and stormed off, the feud not lifting until he was totally out of the cleric's company.
Rolling her eyes for the fifth time that day, Erutis kicked back in her lazy spot.
