From the sound of it, Miya was ripping her bedroom apart. Kerri got up from the futon and walked into her little girl's room followed by Reno. “What are you looking for, baby?” she asked.
“I can't find Bobo, Mommy,” Miya said, her lower lip pushed out in a pout. “He's not here.”
Kerri looked behind her and gave Reno an accusing stare. “Hey, I didn't do anything with that damn toy,” he protested. “Really.”
Miya stuck her lower lip out further. “He must still be at Healin, Daddy. Will you go get him?”
“Now, baby? But we just got home. How about if I go look for him tomorrow, yo?” The look of disappointment on his daughter's face, along with the tears in those big blue eyes undid him. “Fine,” he huffed. “I'll drive all the way back out there for your chocobo.”
Miya ran to him and threw her arms around his legs. “Thank you, Daddy!” she said.
“Yeah, you're welcome, baby.” He looked at Kerri and whispered, “On the way back, I think I'll stop at Tifa's and kick Cloud's ass for giving her that thing in the first place.”
