Summary : To let her know that he did want her friendship he returned with a blossom with much meaning.
Naruto was once again meandering through the Yamanaka’s shop looking for the perfect blossom. He wanted to find a gift to repay the small girl that had him an Ivy the other day. Hinata brought up many characteristics that he remarked about her, but that wasn’t what he was searching for this time. His eyes fell on the one flower he wanted, and he absently noted that the color the plant reminded him of her.
Its scent lulled him into a peaceful mind frame much like the girl herself. The shade of lavender was close to the sun’s reflect off her eyes and your were hard press to separate her from her clan and friends. Yes, the lilacs were what he was looking for and its message was the one he needed. He paid and left through the door while carrying his purchase, he had no doubt that the Hyuugas would let him in.
Naruto slid into the compound seeking Hinata’s chakra signal, though it was hard to decipher from all the others. None the less he found her room and he was nervously twitching outside her door. Sighing and shaking his head at his foolishness he placed the lilacs before the door. Knocking, he turned and walked away, he did not want to see her reaction just in case she change her mind. He was unaware that he was being watched by another set of pale eyes.
Neji watched as the blond vanished into the confines while Hinata opened her door in confusion. She gasped at seeing the flowers before looking around. Neji approached her then and gave her a small smirk. "Naruto was just here, he left those." With his message delivered he turned away. He did however hear his cousin squeak happily and pick them up. Neji did absently wonder what those flowers meant, but it wasn’t something to pressing to know.
Hinata twirled a blossom in her fingers as she stared at the flowers. ‘Acceptance.’ She thought while burying her nose in the purple flowers. "He accepted my offer of friendship." She murmured and then went to seek the one who held her heart.
She found him at his favorite restaurant guzzling down ramen without a care. He tensed however when he sensed someone behind him and he turned to her. Hinata smiled and held out a single lilac blossom to him. He grinned in surprise while accepting the blossom and tilted his head. "Care to join me?" He offered, and for once Hinata settled down beside the male she desired without feeling self-conscious.
