Summary : Because Hinata sees Naruto clearer then any one else.
Hinata squeaked, but this was nothing new as she tended to do that a lot when it came to Naruto. She was going to confess to him, their friendship had been going well these past few months. Hinata tensed in anticipation, as soon as Naruto came through those gates she was going to confess. At least this was her thought’s until Rock Lee, ran by her in excitement stopping only for a quick word and a thank you before blurring away. Hinata was confused as to why Rock Lee thanked her until she realized that the red rose was gone from her grasp and only the chrysanthemum with its bright yellow petals was still gripped in her hand. She sighed and looked up, silently asking the kami why, before nodding silently to the sky.
At least she still had the chrysanthemum in her hand, and it was enough of a compromise. Turning away she instead headed home to her secret garden hoping to foster another rose to grow. Musing she brushed the chrysanthemum’s petals against her lips, maybe next time. Opportunistic and idealistic the smile slid onto her lips as she thought about Naruto, in the light she always saw him in.
Naruto was the body, mind, and soul of optimism, the whole world could tell him that it cannot be done and Naruto would get in your face and prove it can be done. That was his main skill, people could be in the deepest amount of despair and amazingly he could find them and inspire them. There was only one failing that dimmed Naruto at times, which was the taboo Sasuke, but Naruto believed that he would bring the traitor back. Hinata absently wondered if Itachi had been Naruto’s friend or Orochimaru would they have been different, and would have Naruto going as far for them as he does for Sasuke? Then she would giggled absently twirling the flower against her chin and smile, Naruto would because he could.
Naruto was pure optimism, after all he still chased after Sakura, well he still supports her at least. He believed the leaf infallible, and that would probably be true for as long as he resided with the Will of Fire, because he inspired the best, surprising for the one called Dead Last. Hinata grinned as she passed his home, a new apartment, and place the chrysanthemum on his doorstep before skipping off. She would get another chance, but for now, she is happy because she sees Naruto clearer then any other.
