# 8 The First Time Around; First Imp. Chrono Crusade. Chrono/Rosette Christopher. Late and Surprise.

Summary: His new partner from the Sisters was late, and he reflects on what first brought him into service.

Chrono sighed while ruffling his bangs and casting another glance at the modern invention that was a watch. His partner from the sisters was late and he was getting a bit annoyed. Why couldn’t Rosette be his partner after all? Sighing again he fell into memories that brought him to the first time he saw the girl.
He was weak, his form mortal and he could barely feel the demon powers that rested in his breast. There was a sharp crack, and he lifted his eyes to the stone door that guarded the tomb, but he shook his head right after no one could possibly open his prison. So imagine his surprise when the door swung open and two human children stood there in surprise. He felt his stomach protest when a nice scent struck his nose.
"Hey there." The small girl child spoke while the small boy child hid behind her.
"What are you doing here?" He asked briskly, wanting to live out his penance. Though he did feel guilty for snapping at the two children, it wasn't their fault for what he did.
"You must be hungry mister." The girl child spoke offering him some of the cuisine known as muffins. He looked at her while she just continued to stand there and offer the treat. "Thank you?" Chrono was unsure how to approach the situation. "What are you doing sealed in this tomb mister?" She inquired with all innocence that children have.
"I’m what your people call a devil." Chrono responded while nibbling at the muffin waiting for the disgust and anger sure to show. However the young children surprised him as their eyes went wide with awe.
"Wow, you’re a real devil?" The young boy shouted while running toward him in happiness. Chrono fended off numerous questions from the young boy all though he subconsciously focused on the laughter of the girl.
Chrono smiled while thinking of his first meeting with Rosette Christopher. She never did truly react like most humans around him even though she knew the extent of his powers and past. His eyes slid back to the watch to check the time again and he let out a groan of frustration. A welcome sound of heavy steps had him turning to source. Finally his partner was here, and he picked his head to greet the person.
"Sorry I’m late Chrono!" She called and accidently tripped into him. Chrono just laughed and supported the girl in his arms, his partner was none other the Rosette.
"Still accident prone I see." He stated and was rapped on his head for his comment. "So violent." Chrono whined while following after the young woman. Occasionally she still surprised him, and he could still see flashes of the little girl child he met all those years ago.
