Tristan never used to give gifts to people. He had been a bully- he used to be the one stealing gifts from people. So when Tèa came to him to ask what he was getting Joey for his birthday he had to blink twice and ask her to repeat the question.
She repeated the question and he still couldn’t process it. He and Joey had never really exchanged gifts- he’d never seen the need to. He’d wanted to brush the thought off and say he’d decide later but he hadn’t. Which was why he was now standing in Yugi’s shop with Yugi and Tèa by his side picking out cards for Joey’s deck.
