Title: The Chapel
Author: A.L.
Rating: R just in case
Warnings: There is blood, suicide, drugs, and may be offensive to those who believe in God.
Summary: Different stories. Different people. One place. One direction.
Note: This is a story made of three drabbles, a nanofic, and a ficlet.

1. Sibling

At the small, quaint chapel in St. Rudolph Parish, the mourner came, wearing an old, Hyoutei uniform. And up the stairs the figure went, their long, dark hair thrashing in the wind and glasses gleaming in the sun. The mysterious, uniform-clad stranger entered the chapel after walking up its steps.

The next day, all that was left of the visitor was a bloody corpse, covered by blood and a rose-soaked Hyoutei uniform. In one hand was a note of regret. In the other, a dagger laid, clothed in the cloak of red life source.

2. Mourner

He hoped to find refuge here, but he didn't. That bastard had to find him. He hoped to lose him, dressed as an Olivia of sorts. Great, now he made him think of Shakespeare. Why couldn't he stay liking romance movies? Why didn't Yuushi understand he needed this?

"He's not coming back! Get out of that noose!"

"You don't understand!"

A useless struggle commenced. Had Gakuto been less creative, Oshitari wouldn't have grabbed his veil, fell over an oil-lit candle, and burn to death, tangled in the lacy cloth.

Gakuto received his wish for death but brought a friend along.

3. Widow

Silk, satin, and lace covered the divine creation. Pearls accentuated the pure white dress on this lovely lady. And finally, a long veil covered her lovely face, making her smile even more precious than he imagined.

But then, red came. She summoned it with a knife. Here, in the privacy of this small space, he was ruining his own vision of heaven. Scarlet essence of love draped his love with color much like his own hair.

And Ann cried.

"Sorry, Kamio, but I don't love you."

4. Sister

A man walked into the old chapel to pay respects to the dead. He once attended the school nearby but became a priest after he long reflected his path in life. He left so much behind but never regretted it.

He heard the door open. Behind him stood a figure dressed as one of the sisters. He believed that she was a new sister, definitely of Asian descent with slanted eyes. Suddenly, "she" came at him, knife in hand, running...

"Why?" was all Mizuki said.

"Because you chose this over them." Fuji replied, outstretching his blood-covered arms in front of the altar.

5. Police/Friend

The new officer was eager - too eager.

"So tell me about the place." he requested to me.

"They say it's cursed. Every ten years, at least one death occurs. Since the first two deaths, three deaths followed."

"Eh? How creepy! And they say people have the nerve to hide drugs here?"

"That why we're here."

He was way too curious for his own good, that Officer Momoshiro. Even after the search, he asked more about what happened here.

"Well," I began. "The first deaths were quite a shock. One died by hanging. The other burned."

"Oh, I heard about them. My grandpa said he played them in tennis before."

"That's the scary part. All the deceased were connected somehow, usually by tennis. Except for the girl, of course."

"You mean Tachibana An? My grandpa might have married her!"

"That woman? She's been locked up till her death, that crazy bitch. No, I meant the sister of the burnt deceased."

"Oshitari?"

"Yes, the poor thing. After two months of his death, she stabbed herself to death here. She missed her brother terribly. Maybe too much; she dressed up as him when she died."

"So she-"

"Started the curse. Until then, murders occur at least ten years apart here, including the death of Kamio Akira and Mizuki Hajime."

"I'm scared now. It's been ten years since Mizuki's death, and I play tennis..."

I thought of how coincidental this whole situation is. I wanted to begin now, but he was fooling around with the heavy crucifix before the altar.

"Don't touch that!" I said. "That's very heavy. I know you're nervous, but you'll die for sure when you're crushed to death. Besides, I won't stab you to death."

He sighs in relief; I somehow relieved him. He really thought I was a good guy, the gullible punk. But the action had to start sometime, so I cocked my gun when he let his guard down. He was a goner with two bullets. In the end, I used six. What a great friend I am.

Sorry, kid, but no one is finding those drugs except -

... Shit. How ironic. Who knew Jesus's crown could stab so hard? And I play tennis, too...

That weekend, two families held a service for their dearly departed, Officer Momoshiro and Officer Niou.

Authors's Notes: I, in no way, have anything against any of the characters appearing in this fanfic. Except Fuji. He's a completely different case. And FYI, the drabble that made it all possible was #3. Thank you for reading. I hope you enjoyed it.
