Summary (if needed): Rena just never seemed the same after the battle was won.
The battle was won; the heroes came out victorious and everything was just perfect; Claude still to this day denies that hes the Legendary Warrior even though its true, and all the legends came true.
Everything seemed back to normal, Ashton said his goodbyes as he left on another journey; a true adventurer. Celine knew she couldn't stay in one place for long so she followed along with Ashton in search for treasure; she did promise to visit of course. Leon went back to Lacour and everything just fitted into place.
Except one person didn't recover from the adventure that took place only a month ago; her name was Rena. She just found out a month ago that her race was the reason everyone was suffering for so long; she couldn't forgive herself. Claude tried to reason with her, but she never seemed to listen.
She was just like an empty shell.
Claude and Rena decided to go back to her hometown; where their journey had begun. It was peaceful there and everyone was happy at their return. Allen accepted Rena's love for Claude and only wished the best of luck for the two, he didn't give up on her, but he only wanted Rena to be happy again.
"Rena..." Claude placed a hand on his beloved's shoulder, his voice was concerned and worried. The sun was setting and they should get home soon. There was no danger in staying in the forest after dark since all the monsters vanished after they defeated Gabriel a month ago, but still everyone would be worried if those two did not return from their picnic in the forest; the picnic was Claude's idea.
Rena looked up at her lover with a blank look in her eyes; the sun was setting behind her giving her a lonely look as the sky turned darker and darker in the passing minutes. She never seemed to talk much since she spent most her time thinking about the past; trying to find a happy place to settle in.
"We need to get back." Claude tried to make his voice stern to make sure she was listening; but she just looked distant. It was going to be another silent night for the two. "Everyone will be worried if we don't go back to the village." His hand found its way into her beautiful blue hair, it was a bit tangled since it was a bit windy earlier in the day. His eyes gazed into her blank blue eyes that used to be so lively.
"Please Rena." It was only a whisper as his lips softly touched hers; he never was a romantic person, but Rena seemed to change him ever since when he first saw her in this same spot, in the same forest; it seemed so long ago.
When he got no response from his attempts he picked her up piggyback and started his walk towards the village.
It was going to be another silent night.
