Summery: To move forward you have to be honest with yourself. But are you willing to take that risk?
The silence had been between them for the last week and everyone could feel it. They acted like the other didn't exist, a feat considering Rad worked under Gunter.
Weller-san had not asked why the tension was there, and Wolfy hadn't noticed yet. The dark haired double was being nastier then normal, the name ice bitch often being thrown at his back. Everyone could feel it was near the snapping point.
It was the near fist fight with Yozak-san that made Jennifer decided it was time to intervene.
She had asked him to have tea with her, and for the first hour they barley talked at all. It was a headache to deal with her son, he was trying to act sweet and never let her take control of the conversation. It finally got to the point where she was so frustrated with Rad that she put her hands on her child's and gave him a even look in the eyes. "Rad dear, you know why I asked you here."
He didn't deny it, just took a sip of his tea and let Jennifer continue. "Look, I don't know what happened. It's not my business. But your happiness is dear, and you're more unhappy then normal right now." She frowned as she looked down at their hands. "You deserve to be happy dear."
Rad pulled a hand out, turned her face to look up at him, and gave her a calm, warm, smile even as she squeezed his hand. "I'm fine Jen-san, you worry too much about me." He gave her a small chuckle.
She gave a frustrated sigh and pulled away from the man. "Why do I even bother? I know you won't listen. Just promise me you'll be smart about this. Don't let your fears get in the way."
"I have no fears Jen-san, but thank you for your concern. However I think I have some work to do now" The boy was just so sweet and the mother was just not up to dragging this out. She gave the boy a awkward hug before watching him go out the door. She could only hope he would admit to himself what he felt, before it was too late.
"Our lives improve only when we take chances - and the first and most difficult risk we can take is to be honest with ourselves"
