Summary : Hinata couldn't understand why the pink haired woman wouldn't leave she never had an interest in him before.
When the Konoha group saw their up and coming medic-nin star it took all they had not to laugh at Sakura. Sakura however was on a mission, after sleeping on her decisions in life she realized that Naruto would be an excellent catch. Suffice it to say so did Hinata for it was Hinata who had found Naruto first this morning after her little prank on Sakura. Naruto had accepted her presence with a jovial smile and asked if she would enjoy accompanying him around Konoha on his day off. After all Naruto is a very social creature and Hinata is a sweet and kind girl. Now while it might have taken Hinata ages to answer if she had chosen words she merely nodded her head with a smile. Graciously she sidled up beside him and started strolling with the chattering blond. Sakura had made it clear that she was willing to tame Naruto and kind Hinata only had one thought in mind, over her dead body. Now while Hinata might not come out and say it, for she did love the blond but was dreadfully shy, she’d be dead before she’d allow another to just stroll right in when she hadn’t even had a chance. This now brings the trio to this point in time, Naruto walking just a little a head talking to the quietly listening and smiling Hinata and about to encounter the proud and confident Sakura.
While Hinata would not reach or touch Naruto in any way unless she had express permission, Sakura was her glaring opposite. “Hey Sakura, it’s a beautiful day out today.” Naruto called out to the approaching pink haired one, Sakura beamed a small smile and reached over to hug the taller blond. Hinata felt her heart plummet a little at the sight, her biggest obstacle, not counting her family, had appeared once more. However, Hinata reached for the well of will that resided deep within her and walked a little closer to Naruto, her arm just brushing his. Her form so close to the hugging pair made Naruto withdraws and smile gently at the both of them.
“So what are you doing Naruto don’t you have work to do?” Sakura inquired politely while maneuvering herself to the other side of Naruto. Hinata sulked a little as Naruto’s attention was once more drawn away, why did Sakura want Naruto now she never had any interest before. Naruto smiled at his long time teammate before chuckling at her.
“I have the rare day off, so I was just getting use to Konoha again with Hinata.” He answered and Hinata glanced up when she heard him attach her name. Smiling gently she turned to Sakura with a bit more determination.
“Sakura-san, aren’t you needed at the hospital?” She inquired, and was rewarded by a half-glare.
“Yes I am, well shoot; I guess I better get going.” Sakura muttered with a tight smile.
“See you later Sakura, don’t work yourself to death.” Naruto remarked and Hinata softly brushed his arm again drawing his attention. “What is it Hinata?” Naruto asked smiling at the girl. Hinata acknowledged that the pink haired woman was still waiting probably for Naruto’s offer to walk her back; she wouldn’t allow this chance to slip, not this time. Tugging at his loose jacket sleeve she pointed to a vendor selling his wares and beside him was an open restaurant. “Hungry Hinata, well why didn’t you say something?” Naruto inquired his attention on her and not the pink haired Sakura who was now leaving. Together they strolled into the restaurant and this time they manage to spend the day together without any more interruptions. Now if only she could speak a little more to the now blond man instead of quietly slipping into listening she might have a chance.
