Disclaimer: Meki and Yuku are mine. It is advised they remain mine, because they're really just two sick bastards I can't imagine anyone else wanting.
"'Snuggle', and all forms of it," Yuku said, folding his arms and leaning back in his chair, "is by far one of the stupidest words the English language ever came up with. And that is saying something."
"So you're implying that this baby is not snuggly?" Meki demanded, holding Erin up to his face and poking at her nose. She glared at him as much as a baby can glare at anyone.
"I am implying that her mother would kill you if she heard you saying such filth about her child," Yuku said. "And also that you absolutely cannot pull off that word."
"It sounded fine!" Meki said defensively, though he was actually pretty sure he really was trying to hold a record for most fucked-up pronunciation in history.
"Oh, I'm perfectly all right with you being unable to say it," Yuku reassured him, over the sound of him playing with Erin's ears and thus making her seemingly growl at him. "It's not something you need to be saying on a regular basis anyway."
"The damn baby," Meki said, deciding it might be a good idea to just leave Erin's ears alone, "is snuggly. Snuggly. Like a. Like something that's snuggly."
"That kid is about as snuggly as ours!" And Ray was a freaking cactus.
Meki glancing up suddenly alerted Yuku that something was wrong even before a well-manicured hand landed on his shoulder.
Raizu was back. Well, then. Oh, dear.
"Yuku, my love," Raizu said, very calmly, staying behind Yuku, which was the worst place Yuku could imagine someone like her being, "did I or did I not just hear you saying that my highly snuggly, might I add, baby is an asocial and violent art student with flippy hair?"
Okay, so he had been wrong. So what.
Yuku reached behind him to remove her hand. He just ignored the small moment during which her sharp pointy nails were in his skin. "She growled at my husband," he said indifferently, despite the fact that he was kind of praying Raizu was in a good mood now. She hadn't been, when she'd left Erin with them.
"That is because she recognizes that your husband is mad," Raizu said, moving over to Meki and taking Erin from him. Erin's expression brightened instantly. She even giggled a bit. Raizu smiled.
"If your baby thinks Meki is crazy but will go ahead and be happy with you," Yuku began.
"Then you should realize that this means I am stealthy above all things, and please do," Raizu finished, picking up Erin's bag and giving a quick glance to the kitchen to make sure nothing was being left behind, "put something on that nasty cut on your shoulder."
She left before Yuku could even look behind him.
