Author's/Artist's Note: Hm, my first attempt at “Introduction.” It’s not amazing, but I do quite like it. I might do fanart AND fanfic for my claim, but I’m not sure. Hope you enjoy the story.
Neku had always been ordinary. Well, except from the fact that he preferred to shut people out rather than let them in, but otherwise, completely ordinary. He’d lived his life just as anyone else did, following the same old routine - waking up, eating breakfast, going to school, doing his work, eating lunch, going home, doing homework, eating dinner, relaxing for a bit, and then bedtime.
It had been so normal, so everyday, that he’d never thought it’d change. He blocked out the world with his headphones and music, and let it pass him by. Neku couldn’t have cared less. It didn’t matter to him - it had nothing to do with his life, and besides, he didn’t want to share his world with other people. Their business was none of his, and his business was none of their’s, so who cared?
Of course, that changed when he died. It had started off as an ordinary day for him - same old routine, same old events, boring, boring, boring. But when he gazed up at the graffiti on the wall, a great example of CAT’s work, it changed. For one thing, it made his life seem somehow brighter. For another, that wall would be the last thing he’d see. Neku didn’t remember dying at all. He wouldn’t know for some time.
That one event changed Neku Sakuraba’s life from ordinary to extraordinary. It was funny how much he missed his heartbeat when he no longer had it.
