Boomtown had a bunch of actors that I dig. Wanted to check it out, got canceled before I could. Was it as good as I thought it would be?

Boomtown was really good. They did that whole multiple-perspectives thing where you'll see what the arresting officers are doing then what the detectives are doing and how they're interfacing with the press and what the DA's office and social services and such are doing. The characters were fairly well-constructed too - the closest the show came to stereotypes were Neil McDonough's* DA character and the journalist chick he was sleeping with. They're not over-the-top either, like so many of the characters on Law and Order.

*Seriously, how is this guy NOT Canadian? If there were a Superhero named "Captain Canada," he'd look just like this dude.
