Well, my knee jerk reaction was that your vampire hatred was in response to the overwhelmingly stoopid Twilight bullshit around, but I know you better, so I know you must have other reasons, none of them I probably care to hear, tho all of them i'd probably respect. I also just came back from a good 8 hr vampire rp sesh and reading that comment kinda irked me. And, how can you say 'original creatures' over...anything? Can you even make original creatures w/out treading some ground on common archetypes/tropes? And are they fun to play as/against? And why faeries over all this other less-gay shit?

See, theres really no reason to tumble over any of this, it's all opinion, I don't know your system/mind, you don't know mine, blah blah.

faeries fit into the trickster archetype which Billy loves.

14, i mean for real, unless there's somethin i don't know?
katherine is a badass strong sharp tongued artistically sarcastic regal woman
and audrey is like a preening giant eyebrowed couture doll sellin old navy?

let me be clear: when i say "pop music," i mean specifically the genre of "vocal" pop or however you want to classify it. what i am really saying is

al bowlly over the backstreet boys over debbie gibson.

i like all of them (well, not debbie gibson so much), but that's my general order of preference.

and as for 14, katharine is great and all, but audrey is a long-time crush/icon, a physical form to aspire to (well, not quite so skinny, but--) rather than any comment on either's greater metaphysical or dramatic substance. on that criteria, see #33.

OK, I can get down with that pop description. You can imagine how widely that was open to differing interpretations.

Can't change people's minds on this, but will make a quick note that Katharine is also 1) a crush 2) an aspirational physical form and 3) an icon. Strokes & folks etc.

I'm not 100% sure I'm interpreting #13 correctly -- if not, I'll take it for myself. you ever see David Holzman's Diary?

it's a minutemen thing. i obviously contradict myself in #26, just to keep things interesting.

i am all with that; though, the "new wave" i meant above was definitely the musical style. i like that it's open to interpretation, though.
