I kinda take umbrage with that book title - The Doors and The Ramones could also easily be said to have "destroyed" rock n' roll, if one presumes that rock n' roll needed and deserved to be Buddy Holly forever and ever. But! Thanks for inspiring my next nonfiction purchase.
