NAME: Jake Toranzo Austin Szymanski - Jake T. Austin
AGE: Freshly sixteen as of tomorrow. Yep, that's right. Happy birthday? Oh, hey, thanks man.

"Hey guys, it's Jake T. Austin here. If you know of me at all, chances are you probably know of me from the popular Disney Channel show, 'Wizards of Waverly Place', as the youngest of the Russo kids, Max. It's a pretty great gig, for sure. We've wrapped up three seasons, a feature film, and we've got the fourth season and the second movie in the works. All of us in the cast are basically like a second family, so it's pretty sweet, but... more on that later. I'm sure you'd all like to hear about the deeper, more juicier stuff. You know... the stuff only my dearest journal knows about.

I'm pretty much the biggest film buff you will ever meet. Well, one of them anyway. I've always had a deep interest in good films, and I think I can really say I have a pretty vast knowledge on the subject. I mean, ask me anything, quote me a line - I pretty much guarantee I'd be able to tell you what it was from. The Shawshank Redemption and Stand By Me with River Phoenix are probably two of my favorite films. Anything with Robert Downey Jr. or Johnny Depp is usually good too. If you know me well, you'd probably know I like to do a lot of impressions too, it's just sort of my thing. But... yeah, I watch a lot of movies. I'm into documentaries also.

This next thing ties in with the first, so I'm sure you won't be too surprised... I'd really like to get into Directing someday... maybe even write my own screenplay or Produce. I think I realized that only a couple of years after I started acting. I mean, acting is a great gig if you really love what you're doing, don't get me wrong. I love what I do, I appreciate that I get the chance to do what I love, and I never really get sick of going to work everyday - especially because of the people I get to work with. But Directing is just where my heart is. I admit, the idea kind of came from David at first... he planted the seed in my mind and all, and inception began. But I definitely know now it's something I want to do. I write and make a lot of short films with my buddies for now to keep myself going.

I'm fluent in Spanish. My real last name is actually Szymanski, which is Polish and kind of off-throwing. But I'm Puerto Rican on my mother's side, so yeah, I speak Spanish. You'd probably recognize me as the voice of Diego from the kid's show Go Diego, Go if I started throwing you a few words, since that's when it kind of hits most people. But it's fun. Going through the drive-thru at McDonald's and saying 'Hola, amigos, can I please have a big mac' in my Diego voice is always an entertaining thing to do.

My favorite sport by far is definitely baseball. I live in LA and New York so I'm definitely a supporter of both the Dodgers and the Yankees. I love to play too. One of the first films I actually did was an independent film called The Perfect Game, in which I got to throw the perfect pitch. It was a lot of fun, and I got to meet some great people on set: Jansen Panittiere, Moises Arias and Ryan Ochoa - we're all still buddies. We filmed it four years ago on basically no budget, and were waiting for it to get released, so it was good to finally see that happen last year.

I know this'll probably sound all kinds of cliche, but I'm definitely a family man, and my little sister means the world to me. And before you question my credibility, I mean, take another look at me. I'm no Zac Efron or The Jonas Brothers. I'm definitely not big enough to be worrying about good publicity! But my sister, Ava, just turned six this year, and she's... well as far as little sisters go, she's pretty great. I'm usually pretty busy with school and work and sports, but I'll take her out to the beach or to a game whenever I can. My parents are great too, they've always been really supportive which is a good thing in this business. But, you know, first and foremost they're always going to be parents.

I said before we're all like a second family, so obviously this also extends to the Wizard's clan. I've always been the youngest on set, so I'm pretty much the baby of the group I guess you'd say. It's strange, because it's a lot different from my home life being the oldest, but it's pretty sweet also. I have a lot of people looking out for me, and Selena's always been really protective. And not just of me, I mean she's protective of David also, it's just the kind of person she is. But it works both ways, because David's pretty protective of her and so am I. We're always having a lot of fun on set, and David Deluise has got pretty much the best laugh you'll ever hear. Like that there is the kind of laugh that makes you forget what it even was you were laughing at in the first place. But it's good, Selena is like an older sister to me, and I've never really had an older brother or like... a male figure to look up to other than my dad really, so David's definitely been an influence in that way for me in the last few years. Don't tell him I got all mushy and told you that, though. I'd probably never hear the end of it.

Really, though, I'm just your regular, laid back sixteen-year-old (basically, come on, but fifteen if you want to get all technical) who enjoys long walks on the beach, films, sports, and loves his family.

RP EXAMPLE:

He was dreaming about something great, he just knew it. It was one of those dreams where you'd find yourself waking up, and the details would slip away faster than you could think 'wait', but you felt like maybe if you just fell back asleep in a matter of seconds, you'd be immerged in it again and it wouldn't matter. Damn, one of those dreams. The only thing was, that on this particular morning, Jake wasn't finding himself waking up, he'd found himself being woken up. Goodbye sweet, sweet sleep. He'd always said when asked about "Max's Powers" on the show, that if he had them in his real and waking life, he'd use them to allow him extra sleep in the mornings, most definitely. But feeling the very slight amount of weight (though the force of the landing had been anything but) on top of the covers and his body, along with the giggling in front of his face, he knew yet again reality without magical wizard's powers was something he was going to have to face.

"Hey, Ava," he said, rubbing a hand over his face and opening his eyes finally, "You got here early." He couldn't help but smile slightly. It was always difficult to hold a grudge against her. It's your birthday, silly. Daddy promised we were going to leave when it was still dark so we could get here when you woke up! She'd stated. Jake always appreciated seeing his little sister more than he bet most guys his age did. They still lived in New York, but due to the amount of filming he was usually doing, their place in LA had become more of his permanent residence than New York currently was. "Hey, you're right, it is my birthday. So what'd you get me?" He teased. And with that she simply grinned (so wide and forced her eyes turned into small slits) and she threw herself into his arms slash body slammed him once again. "Oh - you," he practically laughed out, "well that's a pretty sweet gift."
