i recommend getting entirely buried in earth, to anyone. i had 2 brilliant kids bury me and dig me up, and it was a damn cool experience. it was energetically filling and entirely healing.

my iPod upgrade (pft hell yea 80gbs) came today... which is my 8th iPod in the past year. after much Careful deliberation, my iTunes library now knows it by the name "clearly functional" for good luck.

when i am worn out and down by the middle of the day, looking at the Fantastic sky during the beginning of a monsoon grabs me like a hook and lifts me off the earth.

today i learned how to use my sewing machine. it's terribly exciting.

i woke up at 1:30a., read 200 pages, wrote, thought, and now i am listening so intently to the drums on the Bad Plus song "Flim" (cover of Aphex Twin's song) and am suddenly wired. i want to play my drums so badly when the sky is so watery and Atlantic like it is at this hour.

my mom was in Prescott for a few days, she just left this morning. her presence here made me realize what a incredibly Weird year it's been so far for me. but we had the most fun together that we ever had, so that was really quite cool. and she loved Pete, which was exciting. yesterday at the Dells, we were sitting up high, having climbed ( ( Read more... )
