[Log]: Creepy stories I'm too freaked out by to write down

Aug 10, 2011 15:07

I've spent basically the whole of yesterday on TVTropes (instead of writing my report; yes, I know that's stupid), reading about creepy stuff people come up with in fiction, movies and, specifically, music - because nothing wakes you up better than a creepy chord at 5 AM, RIGHT?

I'm most certainly not going to laugh; actually, it's kind of worrying. Being aware that you can come up with things that freak you out so much? Being scared of what your own mind is able to conjure up? You, of all the people, being scared of it? It's not funny, nor silly. It's unnerving. And above all, it must be a really unpleasant feeling ( ... )

Clap your hands if you're paranoid, eh? ... *claps*

I found this poem thanks to a film, "The Identity" (it's either used at the beginning, somewhere in the middle, or both, can't remember now); the rhyme adds to the creepiness, I agree - also, reading it out loud at night is not the brightest of ideas XDDD.

Jezebel got you this bad? Really..? I always thought it rather mild; odd, yes, but nothing overly frightening. But... Some of the atmosphere that has been accompanying the writing process could've seeped in without me noticing (the origins of this particular story still perplex me, to be quite honest). As for the really creepy one... I might pluck up my courage one day and get it down on paper; this will be the same day that I'll read The House of Leaves, most probably XDD ( ... )
