What's wrong with getting along?

Today's thoughts have been centered around John McCain.  When I was a GOP in 2000, I voted for him in the primaries and still really stand behind many (but certainly not all) of his views.  My previous diatribe was regarding a way to bring Congress into a useful role in foreign policy.  And I suggested Wes Clark for the Democrat's ticket.  However
