11: Electricity! [Voice]

Mar 22, 2010 23:24

Looks like 20th or 21st Century Earth technology, or something close to it. To those from worlds without electricity: Don't put anything in the sockets. They aren't dangerous as long as you know how to use them, so ask one of your neighbors for help.

Pretty nice, isn't it? I didn't realize just how much I missed electricity.

Oho, I won't be looking this gift horse in the mouth, ahh, this is going to make things so much easier.

It's hardly a gift. This change comes at a serious cost.

I can do with or without electricity, but the lampposts in the plaza give it a pleasant atmosphere at night.

Hopefully they'll help make things a little safer, too. I doubt a few lights will chase away Aku or Yuber, but if someone is attacked, they'll be easier to spot.

One would hope that people are not so foolish as to wander around at night.

[Except Jay himself, of course, but he's used to it, and he can defend himself.]

The town is full of fighters. Many of them believe they can defend themselves against whatever they might face.

It's more than I'm used to, but I think I can manage. You know how to use everything, then?

I recognize everything I've seen so far. Be careful with any kitchen appliances, too. Don't put anything metal in a microwave if you find one.

I heard about the microwave, but thank you. What about the box with the door and all the racks in it? No metal in there, either?

That's the refrigerator. You can put anything in there as long as you want it to get cold.

I don't touch anything that involves electricity. But I figure out that it really important to us nowadays.

Er.. what it called again? Lackology?

There's no need to worry. As long as you're careful, you won't get hurt.

Not really. I got shocked by electricity like um... more than ten times?

That's pretty bad luck. How'd that happen?
