Can you send me an article that says that McCain is throwing people off his plane becuase htey don't agree with him? Can you send me one that says that McCain refuses to do interviews with/ give access to reporters who ask him tough questions? It's possible I missed it, if so, please enlighten me.
No, but he did it while he was running was my point.
McCain has done it in the past. There were articles about it at the time...granted it was a few months back. I didn't have any luck turning them up, but it totally was newsworthy at the time. I'll keep looking, I'm not sure what the magic Google words are....
There was an interesting bit on the NPR program On the Media this morning about the papers that the candidates are not allowing the press access to... might be relevant to you, if you are interested in media access to the candidates.
Just for the record, I do read positive/negative articles about both candidates.
I went to NPR's website, but got kicked off the computer at my parent's house. I'll go back and read the rest tonight.
Just one thing though, I didn't get too far through, but I honestly don't care if Cindy McCain doesn't release her tax information, anymore than I care if I see Michelle Obama's dissertation from college. They're not running for anything, so honestly, I don't care. Why is it an issue?
I think the Cindy McCain bit is only coming up because the Republicans last time 'round made SUCH a fuss over Terry Heinz's finances. Honestly, though, other than the bit about how many homes the McCains own, I haven't heard a hundredth as much about McCain sponging off his wife's family money as we did implied about Kerry...
Yeah, I think that's because Kerry made a point of telling everyone that everything belongs to his wife. Honestly, i don't care much about her finances either. I do care about them using their money/influence to get a hydrant moved so they can park in front of their place in boston, but that's another story completely.
See, i can respect that. There are McCain stances that bother me too. Immigration for one, but I don't suppose that's going to make any of my Obama loving friends feel any better.
The obsession disturbs me too. We had a long discussion about this at my parents house today. The kids singing the we love obama song, the people who are blindingly voting for Obama because of his color (though I'm equally disturbed by those who will not vote for him because of his color), the blind support for the man because he promises "change" and "hope". Yeah, scary all around.

It's common for the candidates to do it. Remember George Bush having people thrown out of his press conferences?
Not that I agree with anyone doing that...I'm just saying they're both doing it!

I don't really like either of them...but McCain's stances on a bunch of things bothers me.
And let us not delude ourselves into thinking the president has any real power to change anything that Congress doesn't want changed.
I don't get the obsession with Obama. It kind of disturbs me.
