:-) I wonder if he'd actually show up in the rain, where it bounces off him, or just isn't?

Clinging to Life/ Drake's Venture, Thomas Doughtie/Francis Drake, slash entropy_house September 7 2007, 15:03:41 UTC
Thomas Doughtie clung to the ratline as the wave crashed against the side of the Pelican, his sodden velvets twisting around his limbs and making the journey across the pitching deck even more difficult. The storm had seemingly come from nowhere, sky gone an eerie greenish black, erratically lit by flashes of witch-lightning as green as cat's eyes. He'd been soaked by the cloudburst even before the sea began invading the ship ( ... )

Especially not one only wearing a shirt, bent over with his back to you. I *HOPE* Drake shut the door.

"What in the bloody hell are you doing?" It would have sounded a lot angrier and annoyed if Giles had been able to yell instead of muttering under his breath. As it were, they were both huddled close in what appeared to be half of a crypt, while trying to escape the Rythuic demon -- six foot tall with hands like claws the size of a full grown cat -- relentlessly running after them. And Xander was wriggling against him in the most distracting manner possible, as if something had crawled up his pants.

"...soaked through!" Xander whispered so low Giles could only make out the last part of his response.

"Yes, well, so am I!" The rain hadn't let out in three days, which made patrolling complete and utter hell. The resulting flood had driven the underground demons out of their hiding place, and made the habitants of Sunnydale even more of a target as they were too distracted by the water to notice that half of the people running around in the streets weren't actual people in the first place. "Would you stop moving before we're found out ( ... )

Shooting practice, SGA, John/Rodney, PG wolfshark September 7 2007, 16:13:38 UTC
"What exactly is the point of this?" Rodney asked, holding up the water gun.

"C'mon, Rodney, it'll be fun!" John had the good grace to at least look embarrassed at the blatant lie. "Besides, you're going to lose all that carefully honed skill, if you don't practice."

Rodney snorted, but hefted the gun nonetheless. He'd never admit to anyone, especially not to John, that he missed their target practice. In part, it was because it was all mixed up with the fierce ache that was missing Atlantis, but also because it was tied to things that were better left unsaid about how he felt about John himself.

That seemed to be all the signal that John needed, because he lifted his own gun and shot Rodney right in the face. "Got you!"

"Oh, it is so on, Sheppard!" Rodney started to chase after John, firing blindly, laughing when he managed to hit John right smack in the ass ( ... )

I liked this, it was very sweet, a bit melancholy, but full of promise.

I Do Not Like Watersports Pt 1/Blake's 7; Avon/Cally/Vila/Dayna/Tarrant, Gen kalinda001 September 7 2007, 17:46:13 UTC
"I do not like watersports," Avon told Vila in a tone which indicated that he would rather be caught naked running through the corridors of the Liberator rather than indulge in wet fun of any kind.

"Come on Avon, it'll be fun," Vila tried to persuade him. The thief was wearing neon green swimming trunks and had a generous towel draped around his shoulders. He was also sporting a pair of fashionable sunglasses. Dayna and Tarrant were already down on the mostly water planet, enjoying themselves in the sun and playing water volleyball.

And probably getting very very wet, thought Vila. For some reason the mental picture of Dayna in a wet bikini made him want to teleport down right now and abandon his plans to persuade Avon to go down with them ( ... )

A good explanation for Avon's remark. Pity they didn't film this with all the beautiful, glistening bodies!
