I hope yours didn't come with the machine guns or rock-concert finger attachments. They seemed a bit gauche, although the tea-ceremony table was clever.

Isaw an Obama poster in the grocery store on wednesday my question is who owns the right to use a persons image... It seems to me that just by being a public figure doesn't give somebody the right to profit off another persons image.

Or charge admission to an audio-animatronic hall of said public figures? Now where did I see one of those...?

At some point, the definition of public versus PUBLIC becomes an issue. The artist formerly known as Prince, then not-Prince, and now Prince again might sue you for unauthorized use, but I don't think the average "public figure" would. It's free publicity for current public figures. And for former public figures? I don't believe Andrew Jackson has received royalties for the mini artist renditions of him available at every ATM machine. Then again, he DID have that influence with the Federal Reserve....
