Nope, not here for cake at all. Though he did have a little wrapped gift in his hand and he was looking a touch fidgety, if tired. Gift-giving always did make him feel awkward. Especially when he didn't go for his usual go-to when getting presents for Sholeh.
"Hey... Happy birthday."

"I'll be catching up to you in no time," Evan replied with a tiny smile. And it was true enough- his own birthday was on Saturday, after all. "But for the time being, it's your day in the spotlight. Well. You and your sisters."
Good of him to remember that they were there, too!
"I got you something." A beat. "I kind of got you all something. Different somethings. I mean, I don't want you to have to share gifts, or..." Stop, Evan. Stop. Breathe. "... There are presents."
