Who is the whimpering baby? It's obviously either Voldemort or the piece of Voldemort in Harry. Based on page 725: "Something had happened when he had hit Harry with the Killing Curse. Had Voldemort too collapsed? It seemed like it. And both of them had fallen briefly unconscious and both of the had now returned..." I'm thinking it's actually ( Read more... )

I think it's the bit of VoldieSoul that was inside Harry it's stuck now in the in between space that Kings Cross represents. Only because I think now that Voldemort is down to one bit of soul he feels the losses more.

That was my thought too - the bit of soul that was stuck in Harry.

...the imagery in that aspect of the scene was so flippin' creepy.

Ok, but if it is the part of soul inside Harry, that piece of soul is dying, right? Soooo guess what I'm just confused and I really need to re-read that scene very slowly.

The first time through, I thought it was the piece of Voldie in Harry, but now I'm wondering if Harry and Voldemort were taken to the same place when they were knocked unconscious, and it's just that Harry has a whole soul, while Voldemort was so horrible/split that he's just a whimpering baby.
