Well I was going to be making a dress for the Red Dress Fashion show (heart disease fundraiser) in March, but they only want models to be famous people or heart disease surviors. They have a great selection of people, but I don't know who half of them are and well they all seem rather mature ( Read more... )

Think of it as a challenge - how can you make something pretty and fun that would still appeal to, and look nice on, an older model? I bet you could! Pretend it is a wacky Project Runway challenge :V

If the picture I found is actually of the right woman, I think I found a woman who might work. She is the chair of TNB and looks like she has a fun personality and could pull it off.

I just wish that instead of just naming names they had sent some damn pictures! How am I supposed to design for someone when I don't even know what the hell they look like?

That group would overwhelmingly skew towards the old, since old people have heart problems far more often then young people.

Seems like this isn't very well organized if they expect people to make dresses without even knowing what the person you're making it for looks like, or if they would even fit into it.
