I oddly expected to write for the college newspaper until I graduated. I like writing, I sort of have a weird style, and a good ammount of people like that style. Some people don't. first things first, don't take it personal. the observer is and always will be an organic process. what does that mean, you might ask.
not everyone knows what they're doing all of the time. there will always be first time reporters, first time editors, etc. some people can handle it with humor and grace, other people get passive or just outright bitchy. it's the ebb and flow of journalism, observer-style. i know for a fact that you aren't the only one that's frustrated and possibly wanting to quit but DON'T DO IT!
pull through it! i had to face ben fucking davis on a weekly basis for three quarters in a row, okay?
and on top of all that, the big guy upstairs never gives you more than you can handle. when you're all stressed out don't forget that or Him. (like i used to do 24/7 last year...yikes)
