William had closed up shop as quickly as possible, and by the time he got to Sherlock's office he was almost running.

"There's been another murder!" ...William, don't look so excited about that.

Oh, please. Like anyone in this office would admonish him for that.

"Brilliant," Sherlock said putting the violin down. "Where?"

"Baltimore. An abandoned packing plant. Another victim of the supposed wolf-man."

"What are we waiting for then?" Because a madman and a teenager breaking into a crime scene was a smashing idea.

"I hear you've been harassing children," Anakin said from the doorway.

"Jono or naive, young Raven?" Sherlock asked, drawing the bow across violin strings lazily.

"Yes," Anakin answered helpfully.

"Raven then." He placed the violin down on the desk, giving Anakin an amused look. "Get on with it then."

Jono had no idea what the hell he was doing here today, no. Part of him supposed that it was because that sense of basic human decency had been gnawing at him since Sunday, and he wasn't going to stop feeling like an absolute git until he made up for it. And the rest of him was fairly certain that it was because he had gone completely insane, and this was some sort of self-punishment run.

One of those.

In any case, when he got to Sherlock's office, instead of heading directly inside, he found himself... just lingering in the doorway, listening. Of course, Sherlock and his violin.

Well, it wouldn't do to interrupt in the middle of a song just for the sake of an apology, even if Sherlock was an insufferable bastard. Jono would let him finish first, and then perhaps he'd apologize. Or else run in the opposite direction. Either or.

He was English, and the English did so enjoy being stoic about things.

"Are you just going to stand that?" Sherlock asked in the small pause between one song and the next.

... It was almost like a grudging sort of compliment, if you were willing to squint at it in order to pick it out.

"Do they do this every year?" Sherlock asked, playing a discordant harmony in his teenage girl sulkiness annoyance.

"Yes," Steve said. "It's nice, for the most part. The kids' parents get a chance to see the school, see for themselves that we're not entirely letting them run wild here."
