Put your MP3 player on shuffle, and write down the first line of the first twenty songs. Post the poem that results. The first line of the twenty-first is the title.

Nice job with the line breaks . . .

'Come gather round' is "The times they are a changin'." "Old Man, look at my life" is awfully familiar -- I feel like it's Neil Young but I have no basis for that. I'm horribly bad at putting lyrics back into tunes so unless i've READ the words to the song at some point, I'm at sea.

Ahahahaha, thank you. How some people managed to get semi-coherent poems out of this is beyond me.

"Old man, look at my life" is Neil Young, from the song entitled (appropriately enough) "Old Man." It's on the Wonder Boys soundtrack, so that might be where you heard it. And you're right about "The Times They Are A-Changing," of course.

Kind of random, but I went on a job interview and the guy had "Dealing with Difficult People" on his bookshelf.

Hahahahaha, did you tell him it was a classic and one of your personal favorites?

How'd the interview go?

Well unfortunately due to the state being in the hole $45 million dollars for the year there's a temporary hiring freeze. They did make me take a competency test so I'm guessing that would have been a good sign.
