I'm eager to see if your English Patient request results in anything! Which reminds me, Chabon had a reading in Chicago and when someone asked about book-to-movie adaptations, he said TEP was the only movie he could think of that was equal to the book it was based on.

Yes, I am fond of that movie -- I actually haven't watched it for a while (I need to remedy that before Christmas) but I've had that request in mind for years and kept screwing something up so that Madox didn't get added to the character list.
