Wow. I saw Revolver at, as far as I can tell right now, the time in my life at which it most accurately represents the true state of my mind, in every aspect. I've never had a movie feel so much like it is about my life specifically. start with small amounts of time. you can also try meditating using different methods (e.g. listening to the sound of your breath, feeling your chest rising, counting numbers, visualizing, etc.). one will probably work best for you.

Do you meditate? Which method do you use? I've been doing it for a while actually, but I dropped off before I could solidify the habit. I've had success with 20-minute sessions and worked my way up to 30 minutes daily before stopping. This movie and some of my recent reading have inspired me to begin again, and I love the experience of successfully, deliberately silencing my mind.

I used to meditate a bit, and I also practiced a bit while learning yoga. I like a combination of breath control + counting.

Another one I liked was to visualize a place that you considered a sanctuary, real or imaginary.
