*contented sigh* This was such classic sick!Wilson and caring!House comfort - wonderfully done. The desert/Antarctica fever dreams were a great touch. Loved it!

LMAO! Ahem, I should feel sorry for poor Wilson and his loss of fluids and dignity, but the image of the cat peering inside the bucket while he sits was too funny (and too real)!
Bonus points for the doublt TLC from Sarah and House. Had it been me catching salmonella from my cat it would probably be because I allowed him to lick my food, but I think your suggestion that it was scratches makes a lot more sense for Wilson.
House curing Sarah and making chicken soup from scratch = swoon.
Thank you for this classic tale!

Glad you enjoyed it! The furry children can be loads of fun to have around, but sometimes a little privacy would be welcome. My cats lick my face, so I suppose that could be another way, too. Is that your cat in your av?

It's a photo I found online that looks like my family cat decades ago: he licked both my face and my food regularly :).
Afaik cats don't do privacy, except for their own.

Oh, I feel all nostalgic reading this, a sick!Wilson fic where Wilson doesn't have cancer! Has it only been four weeks? I am so glad that House was there to help Wilson, because there is nothing worse than the dread blue bucket, and House also treating Sarah was the perfect touch :)

What a great way to start my day! Yes, both my dog and my two cats would be fighting for the contents of the blue bucket!

Oh, House, you're such a jerk and yet...
