"We've been practicing!" Kaoru chimed in helpfully. They had practiced in their own kitchen, the maids and chefs aghast at their antics, until they had officially passed the stage of burning water.
"Um." Haruhi eyed the twins with a heavy dose of apprehension, but nodded. She was moderately certain in her ability to grab the fire extinguisher and put anything out (Although it would really be best if she could avoid that). "Well, I suppose that's alright..."
"We're able to make toast and macaroni now! We're still working on the ramen of course..." Hikaru exchanged a grin with his brother. Just because they didn't know the little nifty tricks for commoner food didn't mean they didn't know how to cook. But if Haruhi knew they knew how to cook... that was a different story.
"...Maybe you should just clean the dishes..." Haruhi's apprehension turned to blatent distrust. Not that she didn't /trust/ the two; she just didn't trust them with her apartment.
"Haruhiiii..." the older twin lamented. "You know we're just kidding~" He put one arm around Haruhi's shoulder--something that was becomming a typical stance for the two of them. "We can cook quite well. How about you sit and we cook dinner for you?"
