"Uh-huh. I'll go find you within a week or so, and tell you all the 'horrible things' that happened to me when I was 'cursed'. If nothing happens, then that PROVES that Dark Magic doesn't exist and that all you believe in is a lie. If something horrible does happen, and on more the one occasion, then may be it does exist, and I'll look into it more thoroughly and possibly join your club." Ellen smirked, looking Nekozawa's eyes directly, not the least bit worried ( ... )

Mori-senpai's kendo practice had ended early today. Usually Mitsukuni went with him, but Hani said something about a thing he had forgotten during class, so Mori went alone. It was a bit soon for Host Club yet, but Mori figured it wouldn't do any harm if he was there a bit soon ( ... )

Nekozawa almost fainted upon seeing the larger boy. Great. "Morinozuka-sempai," he said softly, not wanting to alarm anyone. He could imagine how this was looking like to the other boy. He probably looked like he was picking on the poor first classman. BUT SHE STARTED IT!

He hesitated a little. "This is not what it appears. Carbin-san has insulted the sacred world of the Dark Arts. THE DARK ARTS. Mori-sempai, you know as well as I do that they demand retribution to... to this sort of grave injury," he said, ignoring the fact that Mori did not know at all what he was talking about.

"I, acting in their place, have to accept this challenge that she has asked of me. To prove that they exist, and furthermore let them show her that curses do, indeed happen to those who disrespect them!" He said this last part in a whoosh of breath, and glared triumphantly at the girl.

Mori raised an eyebrow as Nekozawa babbled somewhat unintelligibly about the Dark Arts and an insult of some sort. Of course, Mori knew what had happened, because he'd been listening. With a polite nod, the third year refrained for agreeing or disagreeing with Nekozawa-kun. "I see," was all he said.

Turning his attention, or most of it anyway, to Carabin-san, Mori tilted his head to the side as she introduced herself. So she was from the United States? Mori had been there with Mitsukuni before, and knew it was rare to find anyone fluent in Japanese. Her grammar was rather commendable. He offered a small smile, "It's Morinozuka Takashi. Welcome to Japan, Carabin-hime," he said with another small bow.
