Mimi walked with her bag clutched between both hands in front of her, long hair trailing behind as she took her slow, steady steps through the courtyard. There were a few students milling about, and she smiled at the ones she knew (a few seniors from her class, and one other girl in the music department that was a freshman). Her chauffeur was going to be late today, because her sister wanted to be picked up first, despite that her club lasted a few hours after Ouran High School let out
( ... )
The book was quickly shut and Anita's head turned at the sound of the title being read by a new voice. She really didn't think she would run into anyone who would try to talk to her in the courtyard, but apparently she was mistaken. She simply blinked in surprise at the girl who was staring at the cover of the book. Well, at least she wasn't someone threatening in any way. And she most certainly didn't seem like someone ready to drag her off into any unknown territory... Finally, she gave a simple nod.
"Yes! It's sort of interesting, so I just had to check it out of the library." Lies. Not only were her motives different, but also the book was far from anything interesting. What else could she say though? The truth was to be strictly confidential. She passed the other girl a friendly smile while trying to remember if she had ever met her before. Asking for a name if she already knew her definitely wouldn't be very nice at all.
"Hmmm...." Mimi replied with a sweet smile, her hands locked in front of her. "You're interested in becoming a host, then? I thought that was mostly a thing for men." The girl giggled, straightening her posture. "Do you want to join our famous host club here, then? They're very wonderful people, aren't they?"
She made a surprised sound suddenly. "Oh, I'm sorry! I never introduced myself!" Offering a small bow of her head, the senior introduced herself. "I'm Gensai Mimi--third year, class B." Mimi smiled again.
Anita shook her head immediately and gave a light laugh at the idea. A host? Of course that was for men! Perhaps a hostess would have been a more agreeable term, but either way... She could understand how the girl would assume such a thing, but it wasn't at all the case. "Me? A host? Heavens no, I just found the subject intriguing to read about. And I can't say I even know much about the host club. I do hear a lot about their charming natures, but I've only actually met one of them." The blonde-headed girl answered.
Then came the introductions finally! It was a relief to know that she wasn't just someone she forgot by mistake. "It's a pleasure, Gensai-senpai! My name is Anita Dunning. Also in a class B, but second year." Anita gave a short curtsy in response to the bow. "Pardon me for assuming, but I suppose you're one of the host club costumers?"
