Nothing new here ...

In the interests of keeping everything in one place, I am getting around to posting a few more old stories here. They have been posted in one or two other places before now, though not widely - but at least if I put things all in the one spot anyone who actually wants to read them has a better chance of finding them, don't you think ( Read more... )

I really liked this. Good on Hephaistion for making Alexandros jealous and reminding him just what he has.

Have enjoyed all the stories that you have posted thus far, so looking forward to the next one.

Another good story! I'm glad you're putting all of your stories together, as I like everything you've written and was afraid I was missing something. So I at least look forward to all your old stories too.

I like the way you deal with Alexander and Hephaistion's jealousy here. You show that even though they do love each other, they still far prey to normal emotions. And the way that Hephaistion is the one who truly dares Alexander's anger. I agree that having Olympias as a mother would definitely incline Alexander to being jealous, and have a hard time dealing with that jealousy.

Very good story, and I look forward to reading more by you!

Thanks for your comments, I appreciate the response. Of course, "old stories" you haven't read are new stories really, but you know what I mean. ;)

Yes, he does a good line in being jealous - I'm thinking he probably learned it from his mother.

beautiful piece.
“Damn it Alexandros, you’ve been bedding that little whore for months and never mind what I might feel about it! Do you think I like knowing he’s with you when I’m not? Do you think I sleep better at nights for it? You’re off playing the king all day and half the night, and then you go off with that painted bedboy … and why in all hells should I be alone in my bed when you are not alone in yours?”
But this is also what i wanna question Alexandros? How could he be jealously like that when himself took that painted boy along with him? If he did understand this kind of ache, how could he let Hephaestion hurt? Could I say this Alexandros a little bit selfish? I don't know but I'm tortured by the feeling that he did't love Hephae so much as Hephae did to him.

Oh, I wouldn't worry about how much that man loves Hephaistion. And I also would not worry about whether or not Hephaistion knows it. When it comes to how they feel for each other, these two don't need words or high drama, it's in everything they are. It's so much a part of them, in fact, they hardly need to say it at all. Don't fret over that ( ... )
