Daxter Hadn't been expecting to wake up with an unfamiliar bedmate. Wake up half under a crocadog or small dragon almost certainly, but waking up curled up on someone's chest...not something he saw coming. "Hey! What're you doing in MY bed?!" he asked, not even checking to be sure this was his bed first.
"Does it look like I did anything?" Daxter snapped, crossing his arms. He has a sneaking suspicion that he knows what's up...not that Captain Nonbeliever here would believe him.
Daxter was right. Phoenix didn't believe him. He scowled at him for another long moment, then opened the door. "I find that hard to believe. But if you are quite done with whatever you're not doing..." He gestured toward the hall. "Get. Out."
"Gladly." Only he couldn't. The dizziness had gone away as he got closer to Phoenix and increased as he passed him...and then he was walking, but not going anywhere, and dizzy again. So he stopped, but the dizziness didn't.
[Phoenix had felt the dizziness as well, but he'd dismissed it with an iron will.
Unfortunately, the farther away Daxter got, the more difficult this became. Phoenix clenched his jaw and put a hand to the bridge of his nose, shaking his head to try to clear it. The world spins...
Not yet making the connection, he growled when Daxter stopped. He didn't particularly like the idea of the ottsel seeing him ill, if that was what this was.]
"If you're eyes worked then you's see that walking isn't exactly taking me anywhere," he snapped moodily. Interestingly, the following act of pointing a finger at Phoenix made the dizziness lessen a little for some reason.
"Because you've stopped," Phoenix snapped. He reached forward - the dizziness lessened - and made a grab for Daxter's arm. If he succeeded, he'd bodily throw the ottsel out.
"HEY!" He succeeded, though Daxter immediately tried to get loose. The toss didn't work though, as the ottsel stopped short in midair like he'd reached the end of a tether...right before he crashed headfirst into the floor, dizzy and now sore.
That got Phoenix's attention - or it would have if nausea hadn't slammed into his head. Knees buckling, he staggered, tilting into the wall. "Nngh!" He only barely managed to keep himself upright. "Precursors! What...?"
Daxter laid on his side, willing the room to stop spinning so he could tell Phoenix off. But when he leaned in towards the wall, he felt himself slide along the floor a little.
It was easier just to remain where he was, holding his head and dragging in several breaths to try to steady himself. He cracked an eye open - in time to see Daxter slide.
"That was me being scooted along the floor while NOT doing anything, like I said." Daxter finally sat up slowly, clutching his head. The room was still spinning. "Must be time for a city-wide disaster," he mumbled.
"This sort of thing is common?" He ignored Daxter's denial. His eyes remained narrowed, a niggling suspicion forming in the back of his mind. Experimentally he took a step forward.
"I didn't do a thing so don't go accusin' me of crap." Daxter rolled onto all fours and watched Phoenix suspiciously. He wouldn't put it past the pirate to try and throw him out the window next. "This kinda weird stuff happens a lot here here...not that you believe since I'm obviously a few screws loose and don't know what I'm talking about...right?"
It was fairly obvious that they were stuck with each other. "This better not last a week..."
Oh, he was starting to believe, but that didn't make him any happier about this. His lip curled in an expression of anger and disgust. "If I am forced to remain in proximity with you, you had best learn how to hold your tongue." If Daxter talked nearly as much around him as he did around Jak...
As Phoenix stomped back to his bed to retrieve his boots, he could already tell this wasn't going to be a happy week for them.

The dizziness lessened.
Another step and he was tempted to curse. "You."
