Characters: RED Sniper (hasstandards) and BLU Sniper (bye_to_yer_head)
When: Immediately after this.
Where: The forest
Rating: PG-13 most likely
Summary: BLU comes back from making sure Pyro is okay, and discovers something missing.

Trudging back to his house from the RED base gave the BLU Sniper more time than he actually wanted to reflect on what had happened today. He had taken Pyro  back to their base and left her comfortably laying on the couch where Medic was bound to see her. He didn't particularly want to see or talk to the other man after then whole Ferris Wheel incident but he'd send a text to the RED Medic about Pyro's condition once he got back to his house and sat down with the comm to figure out how the thing worked. It couldn't be that hard after all, not if Scout could use it.

Mentally he went over the list of things he needed to do: make sure Medic saw to Pyro, dig the bullet out of his own shoulder, ice his sprained knee which was making this little trip even longer, and then finish modifying the rifle Pyro had gotten for him. He knew he should have finished that project before going back to the Machina. The rifle worked well enough, but he could only get off one shot before he had to reload, and the gun was designed for someone right-handed, it took him far too long to reload it, and it was awkward for him to try and do that with his off hand. So he'd taken the barrel apart and started the laborious process of making it work properly for someone left handed. The half finished gun was sitting on his coffee table, abandoned for the more important project of fixing his baby, his Machina. But he should have had it with him that morning, after all one shot was all he would have needed against the bloody RED marksman. He'd been caught off guard and paid the price for it.

Entering his house and slowly climbing the stairs and exiting through the window he automatically stooped to retrieve his hat before noticing the scene around him. His Machina was gone. He turned and glared in the direction of the forest, heedless of the fact that he was a giant blue target standing on his roof. That RED bastard, first shooting him and then stealing his only means of retaliation? Sniper was not going to stand for that. He still had his kukri hanging at his side and the RED Sniper was about to see firsthand that he wasn't helpless without a gun.

Looking around his fury melted away in an instant replaced by cold dread. His ammo pouch was gone. In a panic he looked down at himself, then scrambled back inside to tear apart his townhouse looking for it. No, he had left it on the roof and he knew it. He gulped down the cold feeling of dread he usually reserved for the moment when he knew a Spy was around but couldn't find him. If there was one person he didn't want prying around his personal belongings like that it was the RED Sniper. Leaving his hat to dry on the window sill, the BLU Sniper clenched his knife in his hands and went out to the woods to get back what was his.
