Having never actually been to a festival, Chibi was definitely interested enough to come. He couldn't fully enjoy it though since he hadn't been able to find Kurow to come with him...in fact, he hadn't seen his friend in ages or been able to track him down.

He had been dutifully checking in on the RED Sniper though, bringing him lunch from the restaurant that fed him every day. The people seemed to realize he must be looking out for someone and didn't mind.

Speaking of which...was he here?

The RED Sniper wasn't around, but his BLU counterpart was there, hobbling around and eating as much as he could.

When Chibi showed up, the BLU was sitting in one of the chairs with his leg up, nursing a beer.

Chibi caught his scent and, even though it lacked badger, recognized it and dashed over, barking happily and wagging his tail.

"Heya pup." He remembered Chibi from his brief stint as a badger, and smiled down at him tiredly. "Come for th' food?"

It was weird talking to a dog he knew could talk back, but now he wouldn't be able to understand him. Instead Sniper pulled a piece of ham off his plate and offered it to the little god.

Smiling and wagging his tail, Chibi took the offered ham and ate it, wondering if Sniper could still see his true form. But he had decided back when they met he wasn't a person and laid beside him, looking from his propped up leg to his face.

Unfortunately Sniper could no longer see the red swirls across Chibi's coat, but he knew they were supposed to be there. Petting the fluffy white head laying beside him he spoke to the dog as if he were a person, knowing he understood him.

"S'not broken, jus' sprained. I got in a fight with th' bloke who does my job fer th' other team. Shot me too. But he ain't doin' so well either."

Chibi tilted his head, giving him a questioning look. He didn't know who Sniper was talking about...or what he meant by being shot. But at least there were no broken bones.

He licked Sniper's fingers and wagged his tail more.

Sniper settled back against the chair, still gently petting Chibi's head. "Which part didn't ya get?"

He wasn't really sure how the wolf pup could tell him that, but it was only polite to ask. "Yer awful friendly. Ain't no one in this town tried t' hurt you 'ave they?"

He really couldn't answer that first question, so he didn't try. But he shook his head no to the second. No one had tried to hurt him here. He was enjoying the petting though because even though he was a god, he was still a wolf pup...though his mom enjoyed petting too.

"Well good. Lot 'f awful people around. Someone killed Daxter, me an' the RED bloke shootin' each other. Or .. well we would be if my gun was in workin' order. Damn piker." More petting. Chibi's fluffiness was kind of therapeutic.

"S'nice outside now. But it should be gettin' cold soon. An' then you can see yer first snow."

Chibi tail slowed a little at the mention of the death. He'd heard about it and sniffed around a bit to find the cause, but nothing came up. He didn't know for sure who the RED was...or what piker meant, so he simply tilted his head there.

But he was looking forward to snow. even though the plants were dying or losing their leaves.

"Cheer up pup. I'm sure someone'll find whoever killed 'im and put 'im in his place. That detictivey bloke seems t' be lookin' to do jus' that." Sniper shifted his leg uncomfortably.

"I'd help if I wasn't holed up with this bum leg."

Turning, Chibi laid his head on the unijured leg. Everything would work out somehow. If he could have, he would have fixed Sniper up right there, but the Celestial Brush just didn't work on restoring humans and animals.

The moral support was much appreciated. Sniper stroked Chibi's fluffy ears and watched the other people at the party for a moment. "There's so few of us here. Kind 'f a sad party."

He glanced up sharply and glared off into the distance. For a minute he thought he heard the sound of someone firing the Sleeper. But he doubted that the other Sniper was up to shooting anyone. And if he was, then the BLU himself would have already been dead, considering that he was sitting in one place and not moving.

Must have been the music.

There were definitely less people in the city here, god had to admit.

Chibi had heard the odd sound, but had no idea what it was. His head tilted to the side as he stared up at the BLU, noticing his sudden reaction and wondering if it had to do with the sound.

"hnn...." With a final skritch to Chibi's ears Sniper hoisted himself back onto his feel, still staring intently in the direction the shot had come from. "You should probably stay here pup."

With one hand near the shiv tied to his belt he limped away from the party and towards the source of the sound. If that blasted RED was shooting random people... Well if he was, then BLU was going to have to show him the sharp end of his kukri. Again.
