Holy Geriatric Figure Skating Batman

Tamara Moskvina is my frakkin' HERO

She skates in 2006 with Anton Sikharulidze

and with Mishin last year - and Mishin can still do a spread eagle!

Moskvina was born in 1941, as was Mishin.

I take it that was in a local edition of Dancing on Ice.

I have seen older skaters skating better than that - you weren't at the Mountain Cup this year, but had you been, you would have seen Don Jackson, aged 68 and still doing double jumps! Now he is truly awesome!

Mind you, I didn't think Mishin knew how to smile!

Wow, she looks so happy to be skating. I wish I had her smile instead of my "I'm so scared I could vomit" face when performing.

Once you've got it, you never lose it...

But I agree with Mrs R - Don Jackson sets the standard for sexagenarian skaters!

Glad to see she still skates :) (now I'm kicking myself for not chatting to her when I saw her last summer at "my" rink). Mishin looks a tad rusty ;)

And I also have to agree about Don Jackson - that man is absolutely inspirational. I saw him a couple of years ago at one of the adult camps in US. He has some awesome spinning tricks, and he did do a double sal for us.

I think this video of Don Jackson is from France? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9NffjGc2JQ
