Hawke. Dwarf. Your companion is among the living.

[That's... not Anders' voice. It's something else entirely.[Who knows how long Anders has been back. Long enough for Justice to regain his memories. And... take over. The spirit has no desire to be stuck in a nervous, memory-blank shell. So he's jumped into the driver's seat ( Read more... )

Wow....

[What's this? Does he have some comment to make on events that occurred before he arrived?]

... Your voice is really cool.

[... Nnnope. Just that.]

I'm Lea. Got it memorized?

What's your name?

You speak as a child does.

[Sorry Lea, did you have a question?]

[Oh no. Oh no no no no no. This is bad. This is very bad.]

Where's Anders?

[Because he don't wanna talk to you. You smell.]

[This isn't good at all, nope.]

Where? He is here.

And not. Reduced to a gibbering lunatic that is useful to no one.

Hey now, I'm the only one who gets to call him that thank you very much and I'd appreciate it if you let him out.

[And don't go on a murdering rampage. That would be good too.]

He is incapable of functioning.

'Letting him out' is inadvisable.

[Alex hadn't seen any sign of Anders since he'd returned to the living and as memories returned and fell back into place, the were was under the rather grim impression that his other half had succumbed to the same illness he was trying to save people from.

Needless to say, he's heard Justice's voice before now and it's a bit disconcerting to hear it now .. BUT, it meant Anders was alive and that was no small thing! So, please excuse him while he celebrates that and addresses the godlike entity. :D

He wasn't too sure how he felt about the other stuff mentioned, but baby steps ..]

Told you that you should have saved your energy ..

[His tone is light and teasing, but there is an unmistakeable warmth there too.

This couldn't possibly go wrong, could it?! :Db]

[There's a long, heavy silence from the other journal.]

You know nothing.

[Is that all the spirit has to say? Is he just going to leave it there?]

Your input is as unnecessary as your interference.

[Alex's lips quirk to himself and he adjusts the journal to a video feed, simply staring at the other page in a manner that will leave him staring right at Justice on the other end. Alex doesn't need video feed from the other end to stare.]

Oh, I know things .. and while I'm certain Anders will appreciate you keeping such a watchful eye on his body while he's recovering in there .. you might want to hold off on anything that will, in turn, get him tapped with a punishment from staff.

[Alex's expression might almost be considered bland as he crosses his arms.]

And you might as well get used to the 'interference', as I don't expect it to run its course anytime soon.

His wishes are of little consequence. He wants what I want. We are the same. All that matters is justice for the dead.

[Except he knows Anders wants something more, now that they've began the fighting in Thedas. That his will is slowly erasing more and more of the mage's.]

[Not that anyone is going to hear about that...]

I would not be so hasty, creature. How many times must one die before the amnesia becomes a permanent state?

Drop this foolishness before we find out.

[...oh, good. Big blue and crazy is out.]

When wasn't he among the living?

[Also go away Justice. Let Anders back out.]

Can we expect to see him any time soon, then?

Recently. He was infected in the process of attempting to heal an interloper.

I assume you will.

[...nope, Varric's not touching that one. He remembers enough to know that Anders had insisted on coming to try and heal him, and Varric'd been worried he'd passed it on.

He doesn't want to ask for clarification.]

Right. Can I get a better estimate on that timeline? We really have to get started on that 'we came back from the dead' bonding. There's only so much time after the actual death experience that we have for that before it just turns into dwelling.

You wouldn't want him to dwell, would you?

He already does. More than you know, dwarf.

Your 'bonding' will have to wait.

[Tearful voice is tearful. She knew she was sick and ventured out anyway. She made everyone else sick, didn't she? This has to be her fault.]

I'm sorry.

[Pay attention, Justice. Does she sound like a woman to you?]

Yes... I'm sorry!
