My tickets were 'guest list', so I couldn't stop panicking that they weren't for real. After the fastest change/run to the shops/make up application ever, we (me and my irl friend) got to Heaven at about 5.30. The main queue was crazy long already, but luckily there were only two people in the special Guest List queue. After a bit we met some lovely people who were from some branch of internet (I was accused of being a Lambrit) and I passed the hour chatting to them about life, Adam and everything, and texting
jadel_mah who was stuck with a r00d lambrit and trying to contact a bench, any bench.
A picture of me overcome with glee sitting down in the queue fyp
We got inside at about 6.30. Once again, I stood around waiting for Adam for three hours. After about an hour and a half of standing and checking the time every five minutes exactly, I noticed someone next to me getting crushed and made her a space next to me. She turned out to be the very lovely
altogetherisi and I may have accidentally made a bad first impression by being a total butthurt krisbert when they said Adam should've won. Not my finest moment, gotta say. Still, they all forgave me and we had lovely discussions about Johnny Weir and Glee. I got asked the immortal question, "Are you from the internet?". It was a delightful moment for all concerned. The front of house music was pretty hilarious, lots of trashy pop diva remixes. Poker Face got a massive cheer, and everyone sang along to the music for the last 45 minutes of waiting or so. They played Sugababes, and all I could think of was Stéphane, so thanks for that _skating. Any tinhatters will enjoy this: the last song they played in full before Adam came on was 'Man in the Mirror'. I hope we all remember who sang MitM in the pre-Top 12 round~
THEN ADAM CAME OUT (at 9.30 bitch that tardiness was an outrage)

Basically, before he came on a random guy doing his intro started saying Adam's one 'diva demand' was that we all go completely crazy. I think the general feeling was "what do you think we've been doing for the last hour and a half???" but the room obliged him by screaming their faces off. He came out with those FABULOUSLY HOT dancers, and posed for aaaaaaages doing that smirk he does (which makes me lol my face off ngl) before kicking into FYE.
After that he said some meaningless babble which I didn't catch due to everyone screaming like crazy. Then, as my bb
stephfalco promised me, he played Music Again. I video'd the first verse & chorus, but it's not on Youtube. Music Again felt like it was just for me, I love it so very much. Absolute favouritest song off that entire album, I kept telling everyone around me "THIS IS MY FAAAAAAAAAVOURITE OMG! <333333" and clutching my hands to my chest. Actually I did a lot of chinhands and beaming and sighing. His voice is like starlight live, you guys, it's stunning. He took his coat off after Music Again, and I loved the buttonhole on his vest. We've all heard about the "show me your tits" incident, right?
After that I believe it was Strut. There were canes and hot dancers and it was just fantastiiiiiiiic.
There was some face mopping and talking before WWFM, which was gorgeous.
I never really "got" WWFM, but the live version he put so much passion and shit into, idek. Lots of ~emphatic arms~ and posing, so it was great to look at. AND THEN HE CAME DOWN THE FRONT AND HELD HIS ARM OUT AND I THINK I PULLED A MUSCLE IN MY NECK AND NEARLY KILLED
altogetherisi STRAINING TO REACH HIM. I GRABBED HIS HAND, YOU GUYS, IT WAS LIKE THE OLDEN DAYS WHEN PEOPLE USED TO TRY AND TOUCH THE KING BECAUSE THEY THOUGHT HIS TOUCH COULD HEAL DISEASE.
He did some adorable rambling about zombies and broken hearts and being abandoned before Sleepwalker... Gerard Way's stunt double indeed. Sleepwalker is great live, with the 'WALKER! WALKER! WALKER!' bit.
Next was Fever, which was WAY more campy and amazing than I'd expected, all fluttery hands, hot dancers and hip wiggling. On anyone else it would be weird and mottsy but with Adam it was just epic and pretty hot. Something I have yet to mention but was probably the running theme of the evening really came to a head in Fever; lots and lots of Adam groping his crotch. Enjoyable for all concerned~ (almost all my pictures of Fever are blurry as, I was too busy shaking my groove thing)
After a bit of rambling with the band (with whom he'd been so adorable all night, doing that back to back thing with Tommy and him and Monte fanboying all over each other the whole time), he said he was going to sing something they hadn't originally planned on. No, not 'No Boundaries', but If I Had You. I'm the first to admit this song never really did it for me, but I have been TOTALLY converted. It was so much fun, the energy in that room was amazing. The whole audience were just screaming their heads off and waving their arms around. I take back everything I ever said about IIHY - it was euphoric.
Then they took him away. I'd assumed there'd be an encore, but no. Luckily, I turned around to find myself face to face with
jadel_mah, who is obvs an angel. We got ourselves outside, and managed to get hold of
stephfalco and her mam. Much flailing around/attempting to call
kattfood went down, as we couldn't concert call her from underground. Who knew Heaven was underground? After putting Clare on the bus back home, I met
stephfalco,
jadel_mah and
etoilee by the back entrance and tried to meet Adam. This turned out to be an epic fail on my part, but about ten minutes after I got home,
etoilee sent me a text. It was a picture of her and Adam. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU. Still, I failed about 4 tests the next morning anyway.
Basically, that half hour of Adam was SO WORTH IT, all the hours of waiting, all the panic, the late nights... worth every second. When he's a massive star, I'll be able to boast to everyone that I saw him in a tiny club ~back in the day~ and I can't wait.
Britain, can we keep him?
