I noticed just now that my life has gotten a little bit odd. Friday, there was a (closed) jar of white fuming nitric acid in the reagents fume hood, left over from one of the other lab sections. And aside from noting it was there and that I should treat it with respect, it was no big deal. I'm now living in a world where concentrated strong acids ( Read more... )

LOL. I won't get into great detail, but urine does not bother me that much any more. I saw a very brief surgery and was bored. The most graphic thing I've seen so far was a lady's hand that was stitched back together (I mean the fingers were reattached. Fingers, plural). But I didn't see the stitching, I just xray-ed the results.

I should still be, for the sake of not dying from a disease. But I'm not afraid of blood much now. Not that I was ever greatly afraid, but its a natural response to avoid it.
