Okay so! Dairine is very into American geek culture e.g. comic books and scifi shows, and her mun rather lives under a rock. Therefore. Should Dairine be able to recognize you? May she? And is there somewhere I can find a nice summary of your canon o god

LIKE I SAID, Hellboy is a go for recognizing. Have some information, and you can always poke me.

Feel free to recognize James, as Pokemon's a pretty big thing, and Gumshoe too? Phoenix Wright isn't totally unknown.

Feel free to poke me if you want to know something?

Recognising any of mine is okay, but acting on that recognition is a little harder. Kon takes most stuff in stride (Luthor issues are a no-go, and Titans and death too, to a lesser extent), Clark is a spoiler-free zone, Robin does not like people implying they know more about him than the basic superhero stuff at all, Will and Minagawa don't really apply.

lol STAR WARS CHARACTER. Star Wars is really easily referenced in camp, so I'm perfectly fine with Dairine recognizing Jaina. XD

Marvin is from a british radio/book series, but it's pretty popular in American culture, too, so! That one's up to you, but I figured I'd mention it.

Wiccan is from Young Avengers, a relatively new Marvel comic. American superhero stuffs, yay. I understand there's unclear things about Young Wizards timeline, so I'd suggest only recognizing him if Dari's being taken from a time that would be fairly recent?

And finally, Imoen isn't sci-fi or from comic books, but she is from an American computer game that's around a decade old, if that's something Dari would go for.

And my other three characters REALLY don't apply to that. XD If you'd like me to send you some summaries of any of those canons, drop me a line, either on IRC or via email, and I'll gladly type some up for you!

Hmm, well. Kodachi, Hidan and Kamiyama likely don't apply at all (Kodachi maybe has a shot as Ranma 1/2 is pretty well known as far as anime/manga goes, but it's nowhere near being the staple it used to be, I think), so moving past that!

Hyde is from That '70s Show, and whilst that's not really a part of geek culture, it's one of the more successful sitcoms in the past decade (syndicated across the world, had eight seasons, etc.). So I imagine he wouldn't be all that hard to identify and I'm totally cool with it.

Stacy, meanwhile, is... I don't know, a maybe? Daria ran from 1997 to 2002 and held some weight in American geek culture as a cartoon that focused on the perspective of the alienated outsider and all. But then, Stacy is a supporting cast member, so. Toss-up! I'm fine with it either way, really.
