I got out and voted. In a lot of places, who gets into public office seems to be a forgone conclusion, but there might be a few surprises. My district is expected to vote as it has for as long as I've been here.
Thank-you, that stupid nickname made people think he was Hispanic! His background is Irish, and he is a charlatan. Cruz, on the other hand is a lightning rod, because he is pushy and Cuban, not Mexican. Many Mexicans are more biased than any Anglo I have known. I have had friends from other Spanish-speaking countries become shunned and completely ignored when certain Mexicans found out that they were not from Mexico.
Yep, that's obvious. Sometimes I can't believe that the highly moral and mostly conservative Tejanos vote for the Party of anything goes, but they have been lied to and fell for it. The loudest and most dedicated conservatives in Texas have Hispanic surnames, and all of them are demonized.
